This did a fabulous job on our 1997 Wrangler carpet . It was originally grey but had faded to almost white. This dye has returned it to almost new. 8 0z. will just complete a Jeep Wrangler. If I we doing it over I would like to have 10-12 oz.

  • Great product

I purchased this dye to change a chevrolet light titanium to a medium/dark grey to match new upholstry. It worked perfectly. The old carpets stains are gone and it looks better than the brand new ACC carpet that we were originally going to use.

  • Junk yard to new.

I bought a 1998 Toyota Rav 4 as a project car. The carpet was beyond repair and a new one would cost over $1000.00. I bought a very dirty used carpet from a wrecker, cleaned it in my driveway and reconditioned the carpet with your medium grey dye. Two years later it still looks like new. Excellent product!

  • Easy to use

I used this on my 2001 Subaru Outback. This color was perfect for my needs, it covered a few stains that wouldn't come out and blended well with the factory color (although slightly darker). I ended up doing the whole car, and the carpet looks 10 times better. Being water based, over-spray wiped off easily and coverage was easy to control and blend. I would definitely use this product again.

  • Worked great on a 2008 Toyota Sienna!

Summary up front: I highly recommend the liquid dye. I don't yet know on longevity. You'll find it's a bit of an art getting the liquid to blend with the aersol - but it's worth it. The guys at DetailKing were a great help in the process (recommending the proper colors). The details: we purchased a used 2008 Toyota Sienna. The interior had not been taken care of: candy, soda, stains, etc. Carpet was also faded. We did a thorough cleaning of the carpet (ourselves). Once that was done I emailed Bill and Nick about carpet dye colors. They were very helpful and sent a dye chart and catalog. The color chart is only for the Aerosol sprays. Once you get a match (they recommend the next color darker; in our case that was HT-445 Carbon Gray) you can call or email them and they'll let you know the closest liquid they recommend. In our case they recommended Dark Gray. They said the liquid dye covers about 15 square feet, and from what I could tell I ordered 3 bottles to cover all of the interior of our Sienna. That ended up being just the perfect amount. We also purchased 1x can of Aerosol spray - as they said the liquid dye won't fix the major stains. They were right: the liquid dye does a great job on the carpet as a whole, but it doesn't fix the stains - you need the Aerosol for that. I started by testing out some custom mixes to see if a lighter dye mix would work. I ended up using 3 ounces of solution per 12 ounces of water. Interestingly enough, each of my three bottles of dye contained closer to 9 ounces of dye rather than 8. One drawback to using the liquid dye and the Aerosol is that they don't always 100% match. I found that the Aerosol was more of a "gray-gray", while the liquid was more of a "blue-gray". I also know that I had a custom mix (lighter) so that was a factor with my project. In the end, I was thrilled with how everything turned out. In the areas where there were stains I would use the liquid dye, and then spray it with the aerosol spray. I would make sure to blend it in, and then I would often use more of the liquid dye around that area to help blend it further in. If you have a vehicle with faded and/or stained carpet: this is definitely the way to go.

  • I was apprehensive at first

I have an older Honda that had long since stopped having gray interior due to fading. When I began looking into products that would allow me to dye my carpet and floor mats back to their original color I was appalled at the prices and began to feel I would not be able to afford to revamp it. I came on this product through an internet search and questioned the seemingly low price because you always get what you pay for. I figured for the price I could give it a go because it truly couldn't look worse than it did. Customer service was exceptional I got calls before and after my order arrived and they seem very concerned with making me comfortable with the product. It was packaged well to keep the bottles from bursting and even included a small candy surprise that my kids enjoyed. It was easy to mix and any over spray was also easily wiped off. Granted that is only for items not made of fabric. Due to rather cold temperatures it took a very long time for it to dry but the color its self did not come off. I was very impressed with the quality of the product and if I ever need a product such as this I would not hesitate to buy from this company again.

Worked great! If you overspray the carpet dye on any trim, it will easily wipe off. Great product. It's easy to apply with a soft brush. I found an unused shoe shinning brush and did the trick. I used it on a 2000 Honda Odyssey with Grey carpet.
