I love this product for cleaning tires. It does an amazing job of getting old dressings off and cleaning the raised white lettering. I also found that it works very well on polished aluminum wheels. I had a set that began to slightly rust. A few sprays of this and a soft wheel brush and the rust was gone, the polished aluminum was bright again and it didn't discolor it by turning it white. I love this product, purchased it many times in the past and will continue to purchase it in the future.Reviewed by: Ryan from Hanover Twp., PA. on 12/28/2013
Good, but expensive
I recently bought this product and really liked how well it works, but it's a little expensive compared to what you can get elsewhere. I can pick up a gallon of Bleach White tire cleaner at most auto stores in town for about $8 a gallon, which works just as well.Detail King Response: Thank you for the review we appreciate it! As I kid I grew up using Bleach White on my car's white walls and yes it does a great job too but for tires with softer rubber like Vogues, Bleach White has been known just to smear the white walls and not get them very clean. Detail King Tire and Whitewall Cleaner works great on those expensive Vogue Tires and gets them very clean with no smears. Also for older regular white walls the Detail King product should not remove any of the "white" dye and I have seen Bleach White do that in the past.
Our Tire & Whitewall cleaner is 100% biodegradable and environmentally friendly and we include a "darkening agent" in our formula to help condition the black wall of the tire. Not only does it keep the rubber looking good but if you dress your tires after you clean them you will actually use less tire dressing (save $$$) and the tire dressing will set-up nicer on the tire!
